Analysis Of Aristotle s The Masterpiece Work Physics Essay

It is a great pleasure once again to write to you my dear friend. I have been studying this semester about Aristotle’s physic and it definitely which opened my eyes. In our generation it is easy for me to not give value to the realities that happen in my daily life. There are many things that we take for granted like time, chance, change, place etc... For example in today’s society the is a strong belief that time is equal to money and it is so difficult to give one’s time to friend and family because time is mostly misused. Every second there are many events that changes depending on particular causes and we taking for granted because we are so used to our changing world and our life is based on time. But who is the cause of changes, why it time so important to us, what is is space, who causes motion? These are the basic factor that we face every single day. I will use Aristotle’s masterpiece work physics to explain what time is, and how relates to change . I will explain the causality of changes. Hopefully at the end of my work you come to an understanding that there must be a supreme being who is behind chance, time, change, motion. If God is not behind time, change, change, the harmony of beings would be absurd. When a child achieve the age of reason he start asking what is this and why like this. Knowledge is the object of our inquiry, and men do not think they know a thing till they have grasped the ‘ why’ of it which is to grasp the primary cause.1AfterShow MoreRelatedMetz Film Language a Semiotics of the Cinema PDF100902 Words   |  316 PagesOxford University Press, 1974. The Color Purple Film Critique - 894 Words

Samad 1 Jacquline Samad Professor Brown History 106 25 April 2011 The Color Purple Film Critique The Color Purple is a 1985 drama film directed by Steven Spielberge that centers around the story of a poor southern, Black woman, Cellie Harris who overcomes years of racism, sexism, and physical/verbal abuse from the men in her life like her own father and husband. As she lives her life as a slave to her husband, she meets two strong black women along the way that gives her the comfort and self empowerment to finally stand up for herself and not to give in to her husbands abuse. Cellies new inner confidence also helps her to reconnect with her long lost sister, Nettie and her two children that she had by†¦show more content†¦So owning ones land had become the biggest goal for many Blacks to pursue since they saw it as the only path for their properity. As more and more Blacks gained economic power through land ownership, the Whites did anything as possible to reclaim their superiority over the Blacks. They did this by passing the â€Å"separate but equalâ € rule, where the Blacks were not allowed to sit or be in places assigned as â€Å"whites only†. They tried to deprive their voting rights by assigning a poll tax and a literacy test to their vote, which many Blacks were not able to afford themselves of. Also, by the 1920s, a very strong anti-Black organization had formed throughout the south who had called themselves by name, Ku Klux Klan. Many Blacks had found it easier to establish all-Black communities, especially around the church settings. By the 1930s, the Great Depression causes President Roosevelt to form welfare programs in Georgia like the Civilian Conservation Corps, which gave many Black men newer opportunities of work. As the economy got better in the 1940s, the options for women and especially African American women hasnt changed for the better. Most women found jobs as being maids and cooks for a household. Almost half of white households in the south hired a black woman to be their maid. Is Homework Helpful or Harmful free essay sample

Is homework helpful or harmful? We all know that schools give homework nowadays. In lessons teacher usually explains the subject and if she/he finishes telling the subject, he/she gives homework usually. Some of the students who are hard-working always do their homework on time and properly and gets â€Å"Well done! †s by their teachers but some doesn’t do their homework on time or never and gets â€Å"Bad boy/girl! †s by their teachers. If they continue not to do their homework teachers call their parents and they get bad with their parents too. At last they chill from school. They often escape from school. Sometimes they argue with their teachers so that the teachers will send them to discipline committees. Kinds of homework are big factors on this issue. For example in our country teachers give us boring worksheets, exercises on grammar books, writing projects. Students can’t enjoy their homework while the teachers give such these kinds of homework. We will write a custom essay sample on Is Homework Helpful or Harmful? or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page They get bored too often so they give up doing homework. There are also good sides of homework too. If a student makes his/her homework properly and on time in its own education system and not unluckiness happen, he/she will probably be successful. Because homework is result of our miserable education system. Homework also make studying compulsory. That’s a positive point. If there weren’t homework in our country, I think there wouldn’t be so much students studying as much as today. Indeed homework make students revise what they learned in schools. If they aren’t given homework, they probably wouldn’t revise what they learned too. While the students study, they can’t have enough time to improve themselves on other things such as arts and sports especially in cities like Istanbul. For example I come home at 4 pm and go to bed at 10 pm so that means I have six hours after school. Let’s suppose I am given homework which takes about 2 hours. I have 4 hours then. I eat dinner and some other meals in 1 hour. 3 hours. To be a happy man I think I should spend time with my family for 1 hour. 2 hours. I have to be clean and crisp so I have to bath, right? A shower, etc. takes 30 minutes. 1,5 hour. I forgot I have to read books that I don’t want to read in order to be successful in exams for 1 hour. So I have 30 minutes to improve myself. Very impressive. The kinds of homework in our country are very inefficient too. They kill children’s creativity. They have no excitement. And they are too frequent. So how an appropriate homework should be? First, homework shouldn’t be so frequent that it will be more successful and productive. Homework which is once in two weeks would be very efficient. Second, it mustn’t be so classical that students will add their creativity in it. Researches, essays, projects are very proper to this definition so that it would attract the interest of students’.
